Smart battery, interchangeable pods, dialed-in temp control. The category is overdue for a real upgrade.

Meet Sauce ONE: The Pod System, Redesigned

Pod systems have been stuck in 2018. Flat 350mAh batteries. Mystery firing temperatures. Cartridges that don't tell you what's actually inside. The category was overdue for a redesign — and we built it.

Sauce ONE is our take on what a modern cannabis pod system should be. Here's what changed and why it matters.

A real battery, not a cell on borrowed time

Most pod batteries on the market are 280–350mAh — enough for maybe a half-day of casual use before they're dead and you're stuck. Sauce ONE runs an 800mAh smart cell with USB-C fast charge (0–80% in 25 minutes). On a typical day, one charge lasts.

The "smart" part: the battery talks to the pod. When you snap a pod in, the device reads its profile (live resin vs. distillate vs. hybrid) and dials the firing temperature to match. No more burning live resin at distillate temps and wondering why it tastes off.

Pods that match the cannabinoid

The Sauce ONE pod lineup at launch:

Every pod is sealed with a tamper-evident wrapper and ships with the same one-time scratch verifier code as every other Sauce product. Verify it the same way.

A display that tells you what's happening

Most pod devices have a single LED that blinks in patterns the average user never decodes. Sauce ONE has a tiny OLED display that shows:

It's small, it's monochrome, and it doesn't try to be a smartphone. But it tells you what you need to know without making you guess.

Built to last, designed to be repairable

Most pod devices are sealed plastic with a lithium cell glued inside — when the battery dies, the device dies. We don't love that, environmentally or otherwise. Sauce ONE has:

Sauce ONE launches Q2 2026 in California, Michigan, and Arizona — followed by Oregon, Colorado, and Nevada through Q3. Get on the launch list for first dibs at participating dispensaries.

Why we built it

Pod systems are the dominant cannabis vape format. They're also the most counterfeited (because pods are easy to clone, hard to authenticate). Building Sauce ONE with the same one-time verifier code system as our disposables means counterfeit pods get detected the moment a customer scans them. We're not just shipping a product — we're closing the verification loop on the most-faked category.

It's the next chapter of the Sauce anti-counterfeit playbook. From the Earth, for the people. And dialed-in to the right temp.
